Schmidt Security Pro Welcomes New Security & Fire Sales Consultant: Matt Carroll

Schmidt Security Pro is pleased to welcome Matt Carroll as our newest Security & Fire Sales Consultant. Matt brings a strong background in law enforcement, where he developed extensive experience in public safety, situational awareness, and protecting people and property. His time in law enforcement adds a high level of credibility and real-world perspective to his role, strengthening his ability to understand the security challenges faced by the customers and communities we serve.

In addition to his professional background, Matt is actively involved with American Hero Hunt, an organization dedicated to honoring and supporting military veterans, first responders, and their families through outdoor hunting experiences. His involvement reflects his ongoing commitment to service, community, and supporting those who have served.

In his new role with Schmidt Security Pro, Matt will be responsible for serving customers across Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Knox, Delaware, and Southern Richland counties. He will focus on delivering tailored security and fire protection solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each facility and organization within his territory.

This recognition highlights our team’s commitment to delivering dependable security and fire solutions while actively supporting the communities we serve.

The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce Business Awards celebrate organizations that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and dedication within their respective industries. We were honored to be named a finalist among many outstanding local businesses, and we’re sincerely grateful to have received this year’s award.

We had the opportunity to attend the Chamber’s Business Expo and Awards event, where we enjoyed an evening of connection, collaboration, and celebration alongside fellow business leaders and community members. From engaging conversations at the expo to sharing a great meal and recognizing the achievements of local organizations, the event truly reflected the strength and spirit of the Ashland business community.

Mansfield, Ohio – Schmidt Security Pro / Schmidt Fire is honored to be recognized by Security Sales & Integration (SSI) as a finalist in four Sales and Marketing Award categories. The 26^th Annual SAMMY Awards Program is the only one of its kind in the security industry to recognize and honor dealers and integrators for their marketing, business, installation, and overall excellence.

SSI received more than 160 entries from installing and monitoring security systems contractors from throughout North America.

Summer of Caring 2025

In the summer of 2025, Schmidt Security Pro proudly participated in the Summer of Caring, a community‑wide volunteer initiative organized by the United Way of Richland County that ran from mid‑July through September. The Summer of Caring brings together local businesses, volunteers, and community partners to work on hands‑on service projects that uplift and strengthen our community.

As part of this year’s efforts, our team chose to support a local beneficiary that truly reflects our community’s heart — the Ohio Bird Sanctuary. We devoted a day to painting the entire exterior of the sanctuary’s education center building, providing a refreshed, welcoming space for visitors and volunteers. Our crew worked with energy and enthusiasm, not just improving the physical appearance of the center, but also contributing to the sanctuary’s mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and educating the public about native Ohio bird species. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary plays an important role in connecting people with nature and fostering respect for wildlife, and we were honored to contribute in a meaningful way.

Participating in the Summer of Caring was more than just a volunteer activity — it was a chance for Schmidt Security Pro to get out into the community, roll up our sleeves, and make a visible impact alongside other local volunteers. This experience reinforced our commitment to giving back and supporting the organizations that make Richland County a better place to live and work. We are grateful to the United Way of Richland County for organizing this inspiring program and for the opportunity to be part of a summer full of service, teamwork, and community pride.

We Joined the Marion BNI

In 2025, Schmidt Security Pro proudly joined the Marion Business Builders Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International), a local business networking organization committed to helping companies grow through structured referral marketing and meaningful professional connections. BNI is the world’s leading business referral organization, built on the core philosophy of “Givers Gain®” — the idea that by giving business to others, you create opportunities to receive business in return. It provides a supportive, positive, and structured environment where local business leaders can meet regularly, build trust, and exchange qualified referrals that help each member expand their reach and impact.
